Forgiving Others is Crucial!!!

Forgiving Others is Crucial!!!

Forgiving others is crucial,  and necessary, for your spiritual growth.  WE have all been hurt by someone, we have all been offended, and we have all hurt others even if we think we haven’t.  Sometimes we don’t even realize when we hurt someone.  Your experience of someone who has hurt you, while painful, is now nothing more than a thought or feeling that you carry around with you now. More times than not…they don’t even care or realize the pain you are in over the situation.  We carry thoughts of resentment, anger, and hatred around with us pretty much on a daily basis and bring it out even when their name is brought up…but it symbolizes slow, debilitating energies that will dis-empower you if you continue to let these thoughts occupy space in your head. If you could release them, you would know more peace.

People are going to hurt you because we live in a fallen world and everyone does not think as we do.  People don’t live like we do, and they don’t believe in things we do.  What hurts and offends us doesn’t necessarily offend or hurt them. We live in a messy world where everything the last few years especially offends someone, hurts them, and they get all butt chapped.

But!  Yes, but….if we want to be forgiven by God then we need to forgive others.  It doesn’t mean we have to hang out with them or be reconciled…but we can forgive them in our heart.  What happens is that it releases us so we can live without all this un-forgiveness in our heart. We must make a choice to forgive others.  Why should God forgive us if we can’t forgive others?  Why would God want us in heaven if we can’t love and forgive others here? Really………………………we must all forgive in our heart so that we can stay right with God on this.

So, to the one here who says that I don’t know what someone did to you.  No, I don’t know…but God does.  God also knows what others did to hurt me as well, but even more what you and I have done that hurt others. None of us is innocent.  We can’t make others love us or even like us, but we can choose to forgive people even if they are mean.  You see, God is going to deal with everyone.  Maybe you won’t see justice, but it will come in God’s time.

Best advice we can get is to forgive!  Then we can go on with our life and find some kind of closure to our hurt.
