Today: Why Does God Hate Me?

Why Does God hate me?  Do you feel like everyone else is loved by God?  Maybe you feel like they are getting something good from God and you are just left out and God just doesn’t love you but feels God hates you?  Some people do feel like this.  Some feel like others get everything and they get nothing good in life.  Many go by how much one has to evaluate in their mind if God loves or hates them.

Have you ever felt like this?  Do some people you know, like co-workers, your family, friends, neighbors, and even people at church seem to have everything while you struggle in what you think is just about everything?  Some people who are not Christian may have a lot of stuff and many people you know who are Christian have very little so what is up with that?  First God does not hate you. God’s measure is not our measure.

Many of us feel this way at one time or another.  We might be struggling with health, job, family and a myraid of other things in our life, but God has not left or deserted us.  He is still there.  We live in a fallen world and Jesus will soon return.  Every day the world gets worse and worse just as God said it would.  Sometime when thing are going so badly in our life and we don’t understand why we get doubts of does God love me?

If you feel this way you are not the only one who has felt this (no, this probably won’t make you feel better my saying that), but one of the people in this world who was supposed to be closest to God (and is God) while on this earth as a human asked the same question.  He is God’s own son and while hanging on the tree for our sins (not His because He had none) cried out into the Jerusalem air, “My God, My God, why have you forsake Me?” He knew God the Father loved Him yet in His moment of trial He cried out.  Jesus knew why He came to earth as a human and exactly what was going to happen to Him in doing so.  Jesus came willingly to save each one of us.  This didn’t mean we would not go through trials, tests, or tribuations…remember, we live in a fallen world for now.  At some point Jesus will return and take His bride home.  Some will leave this earth before that and we don’t know the day or hour but just because we don’t get everything we think we deserve God is still in control.  We get tested on this earth not to hurt us but to refine  us and make us better.  That isn’t want we want to hear but we can overcome anything when Jesus is at the wheel of our heart.

We all feel this way at times but it is not the truth.  Jesus has not forsake His children.

Do we have that ultimate relationship with God where we take everything to Him in prayer?  Do we spend time with Him in a realtionship?  There will be times in our life where we don’t always feel that we are close to God or that possibly He moved away from us…but…God doesn’t change.  If we are feeling alone and like Jesus is not there for us it is never God who moves away from us…it is us that moves away from Him.  We fill our days and life with so much stuff that we don’t make quality time for Him. Oh, we might go say a prayer and give Him our “to do” list but we don’t really take the time to listen and spend that quality time with Him.  God has something to say to us but we seldom sit and listen.

Maybe you are going through some horrible times right now.  Maybe you have asked the question, Where in the world is God and why has He forsake me?”  He hasn’t.  You are not alone.  I’ll even say that if more Christians were really onest with you, some of your family and friends would say that they also have doubts at times.  But the feelings we might have does not mean that what we feel is the truth.  Feelings change constantly and God never changes.

  God Never Changes!

Right now if you are thinking to yourself that God doesn’t care you could aren’t even close.  God cares!  Maybe you think there is no hope because surely God doesn’t know how you feel right now.  If He did wouldn’t He do what you want, when you want, how you want? NO! He will do things when He wants.  You are a work in progress.  God knows your heart.  Sometimes He says yes, sometimes no, sometimes not now.  He is our heavenly Daddy and just like we say, yes, no, not now to our own kids…it doesn’t mean we don’t love them.  Sometimes we allow things in their life to make them better.

In the Bible at one point Paul talked about how terrible life had become for him? Well, in the very next sentence, he said, As it turned out, it was the best that could have happened.  Instead of trusing in our own strength or wits to get out of whatever “it” is, we need to fully trust God to help us through it.  Surrender your situation to Him and wait for His timing to get you through.

Each of us will have problems.  Maybe mine will we worse than yours or yours will be worse than mine (by our perspective), but each of us is different and each of us has our own issues.  God wants to take whatever those issues are and refine us for heaven.  Some of us it might be a real struggle of tests and refining, while others learn early to surrender everything to God…yet, since God sees our hearts He will continue to work on us.  Maybe we will get through one area we needed work on, but then another pops up that God must deal with as well.  We will be finished testing when God says it is time to be finished.  We don’t like the testing because it can hurt…but if we stay focused on God He will take us through the storms.

God sees the entire picture of our life.  He knows what is ahead and sometimes takes us down the road through detours as well.  God is working on every day to get us to where we are to be.  God rescues us as He sees the situation not as we do.

God provides for  us.  At times, maybe some don’t feel that but it doesn’t make it not truth… God does care for us everyday.  “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.” (Psalm 18:2)  David wrote in Psalm 10:1, “Why, o Lord do  you stand far off?  Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?”  We all feel this way at times but that doesn’t make it the truth.

God made a promise and the promise He made is simple: So do yo think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us?  There is no way.  There is no trouble, hard times, hatred,  hunger, homelessness, bullying threats, wars, rumors of wars, backstabbing, hatred of others for us, racism, NOTHING THAT CAN TAKE US OUT OF GOD’S HANDS “IF” WE ARE HIS CHILDREN.   Nothing living or dead can  seperate us if we are following the Lord.Nothing angelic or demonic, today, or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable…absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because God loves us…you and me…and He is our heavenly Daddy!

Listen carefully…..There is no way God hates you if you are His child.  He told everyone on earth then and everyone who would ever be born again that nothing, absoutely nothing could take Gods love away not even the worst thing imaginable.  God loves us!

Please pray for America and for godly leaders to run the government
Please pray that God will show you how much He does love you.

God wants to feel loved by our parents, our parents, our friends and others, but even if all of them desert us…God will not desert us or stop loving us.  God always wants us to know He loves us.
